Posted - 10 Feb 2013 : 22:28:22 Good to see WFG in full swing at the show, must say the table looked really good with plenty to capture the imagination as well as the eye. After seeing the castle I think I'm going to take a look at moulds for some project ideas I have, really impressed with how well it had turned out. Well done again for a great presentation of the game

Posted - 16 Feb 2013 : 14:13:39 Thanks for the moral support and guidance with this weekend’s interior painting project gents. I tried to enlist some help too: http://www.dashingdicegames.co.uk/Plague%20Doctor.pdf
It never worked out. He said he was only allowed to use the colour red and could only paint the exterior of doors when specific criteria had been met (bloomin jobsworth!).
Have a good weekend everyone.

Maybe we should do a Witch on ladder with paintbrush figure...

Posted - 13 Feb 2013 : 21:03:52 It was good to meet you again too Morsleib and thanks for the kind words about the award gents . On my return home my better half congratulated me on the award too and then insisted that I now try and win another award for 'best painted bathroom'. I was advised that if I could paint a castle, a bathroom ceiling should pose no problems . |

Posted - 11 Feb 2013 : 21:37:04 Cheers Gents. A big thanks to folk that came to say hello at Hammerhead yesterday and those brave souls that tried to storm Ellsmouth Castle. I regret to report that most assaults failed (keep your petards dry in future boys) and it was noted that volunteers for the forces of evil were legion . I have added a few pics of the game towards the end of Grim Gallery 2. It was great to meet fellow forum members and new players to the game too. It was also fun (and sometimes a bit tense) to watch several families try the game. Mothers and daughters versus fathers and sons and brother against brother or sister (quite in keeping with the spirit of the English Civil Wars!). The Chesterfield Open Gaming Society (COGS) and Gaming Club Network (GCN) organised another super show in a top venue (and no snow!). The only downside was I did not get much time to look at / try some of the other grand games available on the day - the official Hammerhead site will no doubt have some pics of them soon for folk to look at that did not attend the show. Cheers again to the chaps from the Scarborough Games Society for their help setting the 'Witchfinder' game up (and packing up afterwards) on the day. I would also like to convey my appreciation of the Witchfinder game receiving the Hammerhead 2013 Best Overall Game Award - a big thanks to the COGS /GCN team and especially the Hammerhead folk that tried the game.

Posted - 11 Feb 2013 : 14:17:44 It was a great table, and not just because our Witches were on it.
I am now looking at ECW figures to play the game with!
