Big thanks to all of the folk at War Torn that tried a game of Witchfinder General or stopped to have a chat about the game I am sorry that I did not get the opportunity to talk with everyone that was interested. Overall the Witchfinders had more success with their attempts to blow up the main gates of Ellsmouth Castle; they appeared to be getting better at keeping sea water out of their petards. The forces of evil had their moments too, especially when four witches managed to use the ‘Evil Eye’ to dispatch 12 Witchfinders over the course of 1 turn!
Unfortunately I only had time to have a quick look around the rest of the show to see some of the great participation games that were available . WWII fans could try Bolt Action or join the Redcar Ironbeard’s Rapid Fire battle for the Nijmagen Bridges. Gunslingers could join a shoot- out in a superb Wild West town.

The Brompton Bankers encouraged Very British Civil War opponents to do battle in the countryside and 40K players could have ago with a very well painted Tyranid army munching its way through a city.
The ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ game looked like great fun too - I now look at Mr Darcy and his associates in a very different light.
Folk that are going to the Warlord Games Day at the end of the month will have another opportunity to storm or defend Ellsmouth Castle.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun.
I did hear good things from my friend who had a go at WFG....I suspect you may well have another convert to the cause.
