A big thanks to the folk that attended the first Witchfinder Games Day that was held yesterday. It was a grand day with some memorable games. A total of four Witchfinder patrols tried to rescue some terrified survivors that were trapped in The Plagued infested town of Whitbay. Only Young Megan survived – although she did return with ‘The Book’. The Highlanders got much more than they bargained for when they tried to capture Lord Norfolk and his retinue of Hard-Men. Only one Highlander survived -muttering strange tales of Lord Norfolk being ‘Old Nick’ himself.
The vile abominations massacred the inhabitants of Skinnersgrove – although the evil creatures paid a heavy price and a plucky young clubman courageously dispatched two barguests with his axe.
The Witches of Putham Down, supported by Blinder Cavaliers, attempted to retrieve ‘The Book’ and in the afternoon launched a swift attack. The outnumbered Witchfinders put up a staunch defence and a vicious battle ensued.
Who were those raggedy masked men that arrived to assist the Witchfinders when it appeared all was lost?

I will add some pics of the day to the Grim Gallery soon. Cheers

Intriguing battle report. Sounds like a great day was had by all. Hope the evening went well, too. Looking forward to the photos.

One of those masked men wasn't The Reverend, was it?

Lively report; sound like a good day was had. Was there a hint of the supplement in your scenario descriptions, Black Sheep?

Cheers Gents, it was an enjoyable day. Drusty, we did play some games that included some of the new characters and forces that will appear in Maleficium, the first Witchfinder supplement. The evening was also good Big Al - thanks. The movie idea was changed for a visit to an olde pub instead; steak and ale pie followed by sticky toffee pudding that was washed down with a suitable beverage (or two ). Sorry the date had to be changed Rapier and that you could not make it. I have added a few photos from the day and some shots of some of the new characters that will be in Maleficium to the website - that folk can see via the following link:

Thank you gents. I forgot to mention before Big Al - I am sure that it was just a coincidence that the Reverend was not around when the masked reinforcements arrived
