Hello fellow players. My local club, the phoenix games club in Rushden is holding an all day event as part of the clubs 15th year anniversary on Sunday, 21st October at their usual meeting venue of The Scout Hall, Skinners Hill (behind Orbit Tyres) in Rushden.

Any way, I shall be in attendance on the day and playing Witchfinder General along with my wife and step-son. If any fellow players or those who may be interested in having a look want to call in then they will be more than welcome as this is a day open to non-members too. I'd be happy to demo the game with you and although I hadn't planned a full participation game I'm sure I could fit you in for a few turns

Game went well, one of the largest games of WFG I've had. Played on a 6 x 4 with a largish force of Witchfinder cavalry and musketeers going up against a selection of Blinders, witches, barguest and noctelingers.
Played a version of the summoning scenario, a very bloody battle with the forces of evil just managing to carry out the ritual only moments before the witchfinders arrived at the woodland temple.
Went down very well, and have recruited a new player for the cause. I'll post up piccys on my blog when I get a chance.

I have just had a look at your blog. Very nice photo of your WFG gaming table. I like the pic of the Westwind butcher too  . Interesting use of a toothbrush. |

Thanks, glad you like him. I decided to put him in as a nocteliger 'boss', he had to go somewhere as Steph had brought him at a recent show because she liked the sculpt!
We had him in the game with same stats as other noctelingers but with two constitution points and armed with a big meat chopper with same modifiers as you would get with an axe.
